Typical 250g Menghai shu pu-erh brick with a slight touch of wet storage because was stored in Menghai till 2017 . Medium fermented tea leafs provide sweet tea soup with touch of wood. Very nice daily drinker.
Sweet and caramel scent comes out from brewed tea leafs. Medium - light fermented big tea leafs ( some green leafs are present ) from young arbor trees growing in Guogan , north part of Burma , give very pleasant sweet tea liquor. High ratio of Huang Pian ( yellow leafs ) have big influence on over all taste.
Chrysanthemum aroma comes from gaiwan of this not really old autumn sheng pu-erh tea. Rich in flavor and clean tea soup has a warming effect with kicking "sheng jing" sweetness after the first cup. Gentle astringency along the sweetness plays well. this 357g sheng pu-erh tea cake is also suitable for longer storage.
Identically similar box and wrapper inside with 2016y makes a bit confusing. Although this one is 2014 year, not full 2 years difference is between those two, since 14 is autumn and 16 is spring one. However, there is a bit difference in flavor.This tuo has much settled taste without "dui wei" notes and releases its creamy richness after 3+ infusions....
Very good standard shu pu-erh from Da Yi company pressed into the 100g tuo. Full body , sweet & bitter , shu pu alive. Clean dark red tea liquor gives also sweet after taste "sheng jing" which could be caused with medium-mild fermentation as some green-ish leafs are still in present.
Takes few minutes to make this approx. 0.6-0.8g "cha gao" tea paste start dissolve properly. Its very "user friendly" as you can easily control the thickness of each infusion and no need any strainer, since there are no leafs or dust. Special glass teapots are designed go those "cha gao" but of course you can brew it the way you like or can. No bitterness...
