Sheng pu-erh tea pressed into the cakes 380 - 400g.
This is a 2nd batch produced in April 2006 because the 1st one was very successful that time ( we have 2 cakes left in private storage ) The 1st batch is not available on market anymore but some vendors still claim they have it and sell it that way. There is a slight difference in wrapping and some taste difference between those two. The 1st. one is...
Tea leafs were plucked, processed and pressed by Nan Jian tea factory which owns tea bushes growing on slopes Wu Liang mountain elevated around 2400m.alt. The tea material which is normally used for tuocha is pressed into the 400g tea cake makes quite difference in taste. Golden tea liquor is well balanced bitter-sweet. Slight smokey notes (not as much...
Pleasant mild "cha qi" of Zhong Cha sheng pu with very good overall characteristics. Clean light gold tea liqueur with gentle smoky notes provides noticeable sweet mouth feel lasting for quite few infusions. Slight bitterness but no astringency make this tea very good to drink already or even store as its good potential.
Very beautiful settled fruity scent comes out from gai wan and so the taste of golden tea soup. Warm feeling and sweet buzz under the tongue will give you a pleasure to drink this one on daily basis. With extending brewing time , the tea is not getting much more bitter but increasing the "hui gan" experience , which is the very good sign.
Spring tea leafs from Wuliang mountain plantations located around 2400m alt. Hard pressed followed autumn into the 380g tea cake also known as 'tie bing' (steel cake) by Nanjian tea factory. Despite of "pu-erh fever" in 2007 year this cake has a relatively uniformed grade of tea material , since factory uses their own plantations.
This is probably the most smoky sheng pu-erh we have ever come across. Not a faulty of the kill green, neither storage issue, but the traditional way of processing by Jin Po ethnic minority. Tea factory is aiming on Cantonese market where this type is more welcomed. If you get over the overwhelming smokiness , few seconds after the first cups, the sweet...
Spring harvest from Yiwu mountain pressed into the 400g . typical notes of "Mei Zi" , Chinese plum with plenty of "hui gan" sweetness after which spread from throat and cover your tonsils. Under tongue sweetness "sheng jing" is also in present and experience puer drinker will detect slight dry touch which reveals young age of arbor trees this cake is made...
"Chun Jian" - Spring Bud , 400g Rongshi tea factory made sheng pu-erh, aged in private storage not far from the lake so transformation is much subtle and fruity than in general Kunming dry warehouses. The overall taste reminds Xiaguan production from approx. same year , but without excessive smoky notes. It is a decent aged sheng for very reasonable price...
