Jingmai is located in Lancang county, which is the place mainly for Dai minority.
Jing Mai in Dai language means a "new place".
Around 2000 years ago a group of Dai people were living on hunting wild animals
but because their original area was lacked of it,
they had search for a new place to live.
They moved up to the mountains which later named ‘Jing Mai ‘, and started to plant tea which became part of their diet.
Medium-hard pressed tea cake from small arbor tea trees growing on Jingmai mountain. Harder steepings will reveal the young age of the trees but rather by bitter taste than descructive astringency. Very well stored and the right condition for aging still preserved original Jingmai fruitiness with sweet mouthfeel followed by "hui gan" aftertaste.
