Shu pu-erh tea pressed into the tuo from 3g to 250g.
Sweet taste after 3rd infusion starts to emerge. Also color is more vivid and dark red after few brewings. The rich cream taste with very slight touch of walnuts can hold till 5-6th infusion, then color with taste gently fades away.
very strong smokey flavor followed by slight sweet but long lasting aftertaste. Scent of burned wood with touch of orchid would be simple description of characteristics of this tuo.
quite bitter with the first two infusions but slight sweetness comes after second-third brewing and so as color. Its a good daily drinker for decent price.
Classic shu puer tuocha from Xiaguan tea company. As most of the ripes from that area of production , also this one prefers lighter infusions to achieve sweet tea soup with hint of caramel and dark chocolate and touch of smokiness. Harder steepings might bring up some sour notes as typical for Lincang or Baoshan areas. Dry walnuts notes from brewed leaves...
This is a typical Xiaguan tuocha ,where the bright golden tea color liqour is slightly bitter-astringent taste, distinctive smoky flavor accompanied by dark chocolate notes with slightly sweet after-taste .
Gentle smoky flavour with sweet honey-orchid fragrance can be experienced through the front slight bitter-astringent taste followed by mild and sweet after taste. Classical model from Xiaguan Tea Company.
Tea bushes growing on Wu Liang mountain elevated around 2000m.alt. Fresh tea leafs processed and pressed into the 100g sheng pu-erh tuo cha by Nan Jian tea factory. Slight smokey flavor of tea soup from hard pressed tea leafs is golden color and gives you a sweet mouthfeel with touch of orchid. Mild but still noticable "hui gan" will emerge along with...
"You will be eating smoked sausage" as mouth sensation appears like with the first infusion from this hard pressed tuo cha. Meaty flavor will fade away with 2nd steep and persistent typical smoky flavor is accompanied by gentle sweetness. Noticeably bitter but not astringent tea liquor will gain on sweetness if you play around with brewing time.
Identically similar box and wrapper inside with 2016y makes a bit confusing. Although this one is 2014 year, not full 2 years difference is between those two, since 14 is autumn and 16 is spring one. However, there is a bit difference in flavor. This tuo has much settled taste without "dui wei" notes and releases its creamy richness after 3+ infusions....
Slight smoky notes coming from hot gaiwan. We suggest to wash two times these bits & pieces of arbor trees pressed hard into the 4-5g mini tuo, in order to get the real "juice" out of it. Crushed leafs will spread quickly right after that and you might be experiencing excessive bitterness due to overstepping, so make sure that you brew it in proper...
Very good standard shu pu-erh from Da Yi company pressed into the 100g tuo. Full body , sweet & bitter , shu pu alive. Clean dark red tea liquor gives also sweet after taste "sheng jing" which could be caused with medium-mild fermentation as some green-ish leafs are still in present.
Pleasant taste of selected top grade tea material and pressed tuo from Xiaguan company well balanced with light smokey notes and sweet mouth feel after. Very good daily drinker for reasonable price or decent candidate for storage if u manage to resist and not drink it for few years. Small pieces of "ma ti" might suggest that small arbors are also involved.
