Sheng pu-erh tea pressed into the bricks from 5g to 3kg.
An interesting piece of 250g brick from good old comrades. The purple tea leafs were pressed and stored in Menghai for few years , then in Kunming , so it has a slight touch of wet storage but rather pleasant. ( not like HK or GZ storage ). Well balanced tea liquor is soft and offers pleasant fruity sweet mouthfeel with touch of "Mei Zi" - the Chinese plum.
Shu pu-erh from Xiaguan company made for Tibetan people. Despite of traditional xiaguan tea processing , this tea is missing classical smokey notes. Teh tea soup is red clean and sweet. Since its still considered as a new tea , some very slight notes of "dui wei" can be noticed. But it wouldn't be disturbing your drinking session.
Another very nice Tibetian edition of sheng pu-erh from Xiaguan company. This time pressed into the 250g brick without any wrapping, just simply 5 bricks in the pack. If buy single brick we wrap it into the inner paper bag for you. The typical smokey scent comes out within the first infusion but its not that noticeable while you actually drink the tea.
Vintage hard pressed sheng pu from Zhong Cha company needs few infusions to get the leafs release nice clean dry bitter-sweet taste with woody and slight fruity notes. "hui gan" is there as well and mouth sweet comes around after few infusions.
Tea leafs from arbor trees growing on Big Snow Mountain ,hard pressed into the 250g tea brick. Very strong sheng puerh tea with sweet - woody notes and flowery background , bitter and bit astringent in harder infusions liquor will open up your tonsils with powerful "ba qi". With time of storage the fruity element is also in presence and the astringency...
Hard pressed sheng pu-erh tea into the 250g brick with no print of date at the back of the wrapper , but judging by the taste and look we estimate 2015. Well and dry stored tea leafs from the bushes growing in Yi Wu area release honey scent and taste in tea liquor body with hint of "mei zi" plum after 2-3rd infusion. There are some "huang pian" yellow...
Xiaguan sheng pu-erh tea 200g brick made for export to Tibet was stored in Sichuan province. Typical smokey notes with woody texture and slightly sour-sweet taste. Touch of wild mushrooms in combination with pine tree comes out of the gaiwan and tells you about balanced storage , not too dry / wet.
No any fancy packaging but decent material pressed into the 2x250 (240)g bricks consisting mainly "huang pian" - yellow leafs from Big Snow Mountain area. Sweet from beginning with honey notes and very slight touch of smokiness which dissapears after 2-3 infusion. Very good daily drinker for huang pian lovers.
Sheng pu-erh from Xiaguan pressed into the 250g brick without any wrapping, 5 bricks in the paper pack. If buy single brick we wrap it into the paper bag for you. This one has much lighter smokey notes in taste than the younger (2017) version and hint of maturing is very much there. Pleasant woody notes along with typical Xiaguan taste. After few cups...
Yellow tea leafs of autumn harvest from small village near to the Myanmar borders in approx 1800m alt. The tea production is very limited there due to the steep hills around and only small area is covered by young arbor tea trees ( 70-150 y ). Notes of chrysanthemum like in tea from Bingdao are quite vivid in the cup. Very good price compare to marketing...
Old yellow leafs from arbor tea trees growing around Bao Tang Lao Zhai near Na Ka. Fruity sour front taste of brewed leafs reveals that maocha has been drying slowly and got a bit oxidation / fermentation due to the humidity ( rainy days ) , which might not be a cup of tea for everyone. Yet we found this brick as an interesting flavor spec. providing...
No, it is not a shu puerh as name might suggest. In fact shu pu'er is oxidized if technically to be correct. This tea however is fermented because after kill green processing ( as regular sheng puerh ) it has been stored for additional fermentation without access of oxygen. It is sort of Gaba puerh but without applying the Nitrogen. Very aromatic sweet...
