Handmade Huaning Pottery double fired and glazed Gaiwan. This " Galaxy " pattern piece of teaware is available in two designs. One of the has the plate flat without any rim for holding gaiwan at the place. The weight states is including the plate, still , quite heavy so not suitable for beginners or small hands ( since radius is also bigger ). Cups also available to pair into the set.

Clay is double fired. The first firing temperature is usually 800℃-980℃. The second step is glazing and firing. Depending on the characteristics of the mud and glaze and the use of the product, the firing temperature is usually 1160℃-1300℃. Depending on the type of kiln, the firing time ranges from 10 hours to 168 hours.
