Shu Puerh
Menghai blend of 3rd grade which is reflected in taste as the deep of fermentation. That can cause very deep black tea soup if you brew it hard. If you are a fan of older shu , this one can be your optimal choice as the price is not that high despite the age because the grade neither. Dark chocolate from fermentation , wood from age and very slight smoke imprint from old school processing.

Delightful, delicious, and well balanced
Shu pu has always been my go to morning tea. I love the thick, warm, earthy grounding, and energy it brings. I’ve only found a few that really hit the spot. Often shu Pu can be a bit out of balance. Maybe a bit too watery, or a bit too funky. This aged hong tai factory shu nails it with the balance, thickness, and flavor, and overall energy. I love this tea and I’m glad I picked up multiple cakes.
The longevity is great— sometimes with smaller leaf pu I find the thickness wanes after 4 or 5 steepings, but this tea is giving me 8+ even when I don’t reheat my kettle (letting the temperature fall).
Overall, I’m very happy with this tea. The price value ratio well exceeds my expectations and I’ll definitely come back for more of this shu.
