Wild Cat - Yunnan Craft - 200g

'Wa" cat is the sort of the little god protecting your family, house and so on. This little cute cat has a long history in Yunnan province and still being recognized by some Yunnan ethnic minorities like Bai Zu, Han Zu, Na Xi Zu, Yi Zu etc. as part of the traditional culture.

Originally we brought the last box of loose tea leafs from the farmer on the way back from Mangfei and later pressed into the cakes in Kunming ( 60pcs batch only ). Due to the humidity of many summers passing by,the tea leafs obtained bit of wet storage notes which plays along with the sweet and wild characteristics very well. Notes of wild mushrooms and touch of wet wood with lingering sweetness within each cup. Clean storage without any mold. The tea farmer claims the tea is from 2006 but we believe it's around 2009 year , although it does taste very old during some steepings.

Only few grams (3-4 for 110ml) is good enough to achieve sweet and woody taste. This tea prefers smaller amount but longer time of brewing.

"Ye Sheng Wa Mao" - Wild Wa Cat we named 2009 Da xue Shang (Big Snow Mountain) wild tea leafs sheng puerh pressed into the 200g cake. The tea has transformed its typical sour-ish notes to mushroom ones with touch of wood . Light smoke is also in present giving the overall taste nice old touch.  Very suitable for lighter infusions .
